O&S Sports Car Restorations is a family-run classic car restoration workshop built on passion, precision, and decades of hands-on experience.
Founded in February 1990 by master craftsman Ohannes Akkirayian, the business was established with a clear philosophy: restore classic and vintage vehicles properly, using traditional techniques, honest communication, and uncompromising workmanship .
Today, the workshop is proudly managed by his son, Ariel Akkirayian, continuing a legacy that spans generations.

Ohannes Akkirayian has devoted more than 55 years to the ar t of car restoration. A master craftsman with a rare ability to fabricate complex components in aluminium or steel, his work is driven by a lifelong passion for automotive design and engineering.
From the outset, O&S Sports Car Restorations was built to deliver restoration work of the highest standard – not rushed, not outsourced, and never compromised.
The Early Years – International Experience
Before establishing O&S Sports Car Restorations, Ohannes worked extensively in the restoration industry across Europe, the United States, and South America, gaining exposure to world-class restoration techniques and standards.
After moving to Australia more than 35 years ago, he became a valued member of Classic Autocraft in Concord, one of Australia’s most respected restoration workshops during the 1980s.
At the time, Classic Autocraft was internationally recognised for remanufacturing the Jaguar D-Type, with attention to detail so precise that even the rivet count and spacing matched the original factory specifications. This level of craftsmanship continues to influence the standards applied at O&S today.
Second-Generation Leadership
O&S Sports Car Restorations is now led by Ariel Akkirayian, who has spent over 20 years working alongside his father, learning the craft from the ground up.
Like Ohannes, Ariel shares a deep appreciation for classic and vintage vehicles and a strong belief in doing things properly. Under his leadership, the workshop continues to balance traditional restoration methods with modern expectations for communication, project management, and customer care.
