O&S Sports Car Restoration was established by Ohannes Akkirayian in February 1990. Ohannes has 50 years experience in car restoration, a master craftsman with the talent to fabricate virtually anything out of aluminium or steel, to perfection.
THE EARLIER YEARS
Earlier on in life, Ohannes worked in the restoration business in Europe, USA and South America. Then when Ohannes moved to Australia, over 35 years ago, he became a valued employee of a company called Classic Autocraft, in Concord Sydney.
In the 1980’s, they were known as being the ultimate in car restoration workshops in Australia with a world-wide reputation for remanufacturing the Jaguar D-Type. Even the rivets on the body work were of the same number, spaced identically to the originals.
O&S Sports Car Restorations has a highly experienced and dedicated team to work on the vast array of classic cars that come through our doors. Our team consist of two: body workers, mechanics and spray painters; a fitter and assembler, a coachbuilder, electrician and trimmer.
At all times I found Ohannes and Ariel very responsive to my questions and helpful in resolving any issues. It is clear to me that they pay great attention to detail and are expert in the art and skills of restoration.
